We are proud to say that we are Australia's largest supplier of 100% felted wool.  We stock a large range of solid colours, along with beautiful hand dyes which we dye ourselves here at the shop.  We absolutely love working with the wool.  It is so easy to use - because it has already been felted, it doesn't fray; you don't need to turn under the edge -  you just staple or glue your pieces in place and then applique them on!

Alot of people get a little confused about the difference between felted wool and wool felt.  Felted wool, which is what we sell, is a woven fabric.   Wool felt on the other hand is made up of compressed wool fibres.

When we receive our wool fabric here in the shop, we put it thru a hot wash, then a hot dryer and that 'felts' the wool.  We actually lose about 2.5m from a 15m bolt of wool by putting it thru this process, but by doing this, it is ready to use straight away, and you, the customer, know that the size you buy is the size it will stay once you wash it (if you need to), as it has already been thru the felting process.
